Sinopsis:La historia de Dragon Ball explica la vida de Son Goku, un niño con
cola de mono basado en la leyenda china Viaje al oeste, y narra su vida
y aventuras desde su infancia hasta que llega a ser abuelo. A lo largo
de su vida, Son Goku lucha en muchas batallas y se convierte en el
luchador de artes marciales más fuerte del universo. No está solo: hay
un sinnúmero de héroes y villanos que proporcionan el conflicto que
conduce la historia.
Las bolas de dragon del título son uno de los componentes de la
serie, pero no el argumento principal. Son siete esferas mágicas que
están repartidas por todo el mundo. Cuando se reúnen todas, se pueden
utilizar para invocar al dragón Shenlong (Shenron), que confiere un
deseo. Después de cumplirse el deseo, las bolas se repartirán de nuevo
por todo el mundo y serán inertes durante un año. En el pasado, hacían
falta generaciones de búsqueda para encontrar las 7 bolas. Sin embargo,
al principio de la historia, una genial inventora crea un radar para
detectar las bolas y hacer el proceso mucho más fácil.
